  3. Summary

Welp I forgot to even record the timer this time around.

I started the solve well but messed up F2L. However, everything else went rather swimmingly. Coinidentally, the Pi OLL I saw yesterday showed up again, and I actually got to use the algorithm for it! It was still rather slow, but it still saved time for sure. Sometimes, being fast alone isn't beating the efficiency of the algorithms.

Speaking of using algorithms however, I got a permutation that I haven't seen yet since I started this journey. The Z perm is a rather annoying case to get in PLL. It's uncommon, and honestly for something uncommon it has quite a boring algorithm to use for it. Nevertheless, I should get used to it.

As a result of all these occurences, I ended up with a sub 40 time today: 38.60 seconds.

Honestly I'm impressed with my improvement so far. Though I had this experience before, it's intriguing how far I'll be able to get. These solve times are akin to a well-trodden path for me, but it's nostalgic to walk a walk I haven't in quite a time.
